About Us.png

Everyday Abilities is a 501(c)3 non profit founded in 2014 to enhance and increase quality of life for people living with disabilities.

Disability is common - the US Census shows that 1 in 5 people have some form of disability. Disability need not be viewed in its traditional negative context.  Rather, it is a normal part of life that we can embrace.  We believe that the term “disability” is a social construct, based on social ideals that traditionally excluded many members of society… people regarded as “disabled”.  Everyday Abilities questions where society draws that line, and strives to create a world that is inclusive for all.

At Everyday Abilities, we see ability as a spectrum: each of us have different strengths.  We, as individuals, become empowered as we acknowledge and maximize our unique abilities.  Our mission is to help people achieve their maximum potential through self-advocacy, technology, universal design, recreation, physical exercise, mental-health and mindfulness, as well as healthy eating habits.
